In December the consortium ended the testing phase at a local level. Over 450 adults were involved in the Intervention Program, carrying out successfully the set of activities specifically designed for the participants in the project. Each partner worked with its target group: adult migrants, young adults, teachers, psychology students and so on.
The idea of the program is to accompany adults in a process of change that comes from acquiring tools, self-awareness and healthy habits. The topics tackled were depression, anxiety, burnout, career planning and parenting. Within the program, adults were given tools to cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and burnout in their daily lives. They also acquired awareness of their parenting status and planning for a career.
The program facilitators were trained on the project methodology by a team of professionals. Then, they conducted five sessions for small groups of ten people per facilitator to ease this process of change. The 450 adults will now transmit the knowledge acquired and involve another person in the program, a friend, or a family member, in forming new healthy habits, creating this way a waterfall effect.
The last project phase consists of analyzing data from the intervention program to measure the project’s impact. Soon the tested exercises and activities will be available to download for facilitators and adults.
